Provenance & Service

The 2S19 Msta-S mounts a 152 mm 2A64 howitzer on a chassis combining T-80 running gear and a T-72 powerpack. Entering Soviet service in 1989, it can fire conventional, rocket-assisted and Krasnopol laser-guided shells. It has been used extensively by both sides in the Russo-Ukrainian War.
