An Ottoman bronze siege bombard cast a decade after the fall of Constantinople.

Cast in 1464 by Munir Ali, the Dardanelles Gun is a successor to the great bombards used by Mehmed II to breach the walls of Constantinople in 1453. It saw service against the Royal Navy in the Dardanelles Operation as late as 1807. It was presented to Queen Victoria in 1866 and now resides at Fort Nelson, Hampshire.
