The M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System mounts a single MLRS-style six-rocket pod on a 5-tonne FMTV truck, exchanging half the firepower of the M270 for the ability to fly inside a C-130. From 2022 onward, HIMARS strikes deep behind Russian lines reshaped the artillery duel in Ukraine and made the system globally famous.
